5-Muffle Pull-Though Industrial Furnace Plant

Application

In general the pull-through furnace hardening plants can be used for heat treatment of steel bands, bimetal saw bands, industrial blades, razor blades, scalpels etc. which are made of the corresponding kinds of steel.

Furnace Description

The pictured 5-muffle pull-through furnace plant is used for continuous hardening and tempering of CrNi band steel in protective gas atmosphere. This industrial furnace plant is fully automatic.

The control and regulation procedures are managed by a PLC. In order to comfortably operate the plant it is equipped with a control panel for visualization. All relevant data for quality assurance can be saved on a separate PC and used for further evaluations.

The scope of delivery of this industrial furnace plant comprises, apart from the hardening furnace, the tempering furnace and the measuring and control station, an integrated band cleaner, a cooling and freezing device as well as band pull-through equipment. The latter is equipped with a control that is connected to the furnace control.

Pull-Though Hardening Plants

Application

In general the stripping furnace hardening plant can be used for heat treatment of steel bands, bimetal saw bands, industrial blades, razor blades, scalpels etc. which are made of the corresponding kinds of steel.

Furnace Description

The pictured stripping furnace is a bimetal saw band hardening plant and was especially developed for continuous operation under protective gas (nitrogen, argon). Corresponding to the rated temperature of 1230° C the thermal insulation is made of high-quality insulation material and built up with a multilayertype of construction. Heating is effected via heating elements made of a special alloy or SIC and is designed for a heating temperature of 1300° C.

New “Static Cooling Track” (patent-no. 10243191):

Eisenmann`s new patented ”cooling track” for bimetal saw band hardening plants, does not need any cooling machine nor any freezing mixture. Only cooling water is used for cooling. From now on you can produce with less impact on the environment, you can reduce costs, save energy and increase throughput by using the new ”cooling track” developed by Eisenmann. You only have to adapt the total plant.

When fitting out new plants with the new ”cooling track” by Eisenmann a much higher performance is possible.

The new ”cooling track” developed by Eisenmann works more effectively than the present methods of cooling saw bands and it provides many advantages for you: methods of cooling saw bands and it provides many advantages for you:

  • cost saving due to lower energy consumption – omission of cooling agent and cooling machine
  • environmentally friendly thanks to omission of the cooling agent – only cooling water is used for cooling
  • reduction of the susceptibility of interference and low wear andtear – thanks to the omission of the cooling machine with rotating components
  • operation, service and maintenance of the ”cooling track” are facilitated

Heat Treatment Line

For hardening and tempering of flat steel semi-finished parts consisting of:

  • Eisenmann hardening furnace
  • Eisenmann hardening chain furnace
  • Eisenmann tempering furnace
  • Eisenmann handling systems

The heat treatment plant is used for a hardening process consisting of a continuous hardening furnace with special articulated chain, a subsequently added hardening chain system as well as a pusher type articulated chain tempering furnace with cooling tracks at the inlet and at the outlet.

The Eisenmann Heat Treatment Plant consists mainly of the following elements

  • Continuous furnace run by protective gas with special articulated chain as hardening furnace with electrical steel tube heating
  • Automatic removal from furnace and loading of hardening chains
  • Double hardening chain system seated on a rotary table. The chain system is for cooling in the context of the hardening process.
  • Automatic removal of hardening chains and loading of tempering furnace
  • Pusher type articulated chain furnace with cooled infeed track and with electrical heating and air circulation
  • Cooling zone for cooling down of tempered semi-finished parts.
  • Switch cabinet area for control and process visualization of the complete plant
  • Gas steel tube burner and electrical heating can be combined for optimal temperature control
  • With car body parts produced by Eisenmann roller hearth furnaces drivers all over the world drive more safely.

Highly productive sinter furnaces for powder metals and metal injection moulding

Sintering plays a key part in powder metallurgy since the microstructure is created in this process and the mechanical properties of the sintered parts are defined. With the modular roller-type kiln with lock systems, Eisenmann provides a powerful concept for high-temperature sintering of complex structural powder-metal parts.

Continuous roller-type kilns for maximum performance

Due to their high flexibility, roller-type kilns with double-door lock systems permit optimum adaptation to the metallurgical requirements of the sintering process. The PM sintering kilns of Eisenmann are subdivided into the following zones:

  • Stearate zone
  • Sintering zone
  • Rapid cooling zone
  • Final cooling zone

With sintering temperatures of up to 1350 °C, atmosphere separation and precise setting of the temperature profile, it is possible to produce low-alloy and high-alloy PM steels reproducibly with utmost quality. Very low dew points permit dependable sintering of alloying elements with a high oxygen affinity such as chromium, manganese or vanadium. An integrated rapid cooling module (gas quenching zone) permits sinter-hardening of new PM steels with tight dimensional tolerances and high material strength and hardness values.

Flexible, energy-optimized new developments

High-temperature roller-type kilns made by Eisenmann set standards in the production of powder-metal alloys containing chromium. The new, energy-optimized generation of roller-type kilns achieves a considerable increase in efficiency in the sintering process. This permits a cost-efficient production even of small batches.
